How do you like the sound of high ceilings, lashings of natural light bounced off white walls with splashes of bold colour all wrapped up in a 19th century town house, yes?..me too.
This lovely house tour comes courtesy of The New York Times T Magazine (thanks for sharing) and show cases the 19th century London town house home of designer Harriet Anstruther, and photographer husband Henry Bourne. Its the perfect blend of old and new, with a bit of fun thrown in for good measure (check out the bathroom filled with pink light provided by a skylight)
The house tour is set to feature in this weekends special Design Issue of The New York Times T Magazine, were you will be able to read the full feature, but you can also see a preview here.
For me my favorite rooms would be the kitchen, filled with light and plenty of work space for family cooking, (seen above) and the first floor family room with its mix of large comfy sofas, one in a bright pink colour, modern art work and huge original windows, (seen here) though the powder room has its own certain appeal with its wacky wall paper. Do you spot a room that you could see yourself in?
