STUFF: A Few Motivational Words.

Right now I'm busy re-arranging pictures and posters around the house to freshen it up, so I'm on the look out for something new, and I'm loving the latest project from Pixers, which is a collection of adhesive and portable motivational typography posters. Every one needs a little encouragement from time to don't they, and a few well chosen words written or spoken, at the right time can be a real pick-me-up

These are my personal favourites from the collection, the first one is something that I truly believe in and am always repeating to my own children because its easy to get hot under the collar so to speak with out knowing the whole story, and the other  two  because I am a person filled with self doubt, and am always comparing myself to others.
Which words would you choose to be your motivational pick-me-up, check out more on Pixers

Timeless classic from Ikea

Photographer Nina Broberg  livethemma.ikea.se/

This month’s classic offering from IKEA is the MALM  chest of drawers, natural and timeless in design, the MALM series suits most style of interiors and space. A simple DIY to try is to paint each draw front a different or tonal colour,  or  use adhesive  foil instead of paint to dress them up.

Style and Space: Black and White Kitchen.

I first spotted this black and white space in a  French magazine that I bought while on holiday a while ago, and I recently spotted a picture of it on Pinterest, which lead me to the rest of the photos from here.  I love the size of the eat in kitchen space, surfaces painted with blackboard paint, and those industrial lamp shades.

Tip. If you are tiling with white tiles, why not try grouting with a contrasting coloured grout such as grey like in this kitchen, it creates a great graph paper effect don't you think.

Stocking up for winter.

As  we head towards the end of October, here in the UK we will be putting the clocks back an hour this weekend which means darker evenings, so I'm making sure that we are stocked up on candles ready to cosy up once the sun goes down, and to be prepared for winter power cuts, which have already happened once this Autumn, but I was ready for it...

Inspiration Poster.

Create a  chic boutique feel walk in wardrobe in your very own bedroom with this new pink water colour poster from Ikea,  or why not get a few friends around for a clothes swap party, hang the poster in the living room and create your own cat walk for the evening with your friends all strutting their stuff!
