Style and Space, Bohemian Style + Blog Crush.

Do you ever have a blog Crush? you know, when you come across a blog, and you keep revisiting it over and over again, and you just can't get enough of it?  Well I have a blog crush at the moment, I think it sort of stems from my recent trip to France when we stayed in a tiny but lovely white light filled, floor to ceiling window's French apartment, then I recently came across this blog, by Camille who  is actually a fashion blogger, but she also has a few decor posts on her lovely french bohemian styled apartment, I'm currently totally smitten with the look.   Her fashion posts are pretty great too!

Camille has cleverly  used a mixture of budget friendly high street items from the likes of H&M with second-hand finds on the French website Bon Coin, which is like a Craigs list or Gum Tree type thing, and some junk shop finds.   Isn't it a great space?

Style and Space: Breaking Some of the Rules!

This one isn't your average Swedish real estate makeover that we have all come to recognise and love, this one is ever so slightly bonkers, but I love it and it certainly caught my eye yesterday while checking out new inspiration.   The styling certainly gives this apartment personality, but take everything away and you still pretty much have a blank canvas to work with.

Get the Look.

Lets start the week with a touch of pink.

I thought I would start the week with a touch of pink, Pretty and feminine, but not too over girly.   By adding just a hint to a mainly white interior, it becomes instantly softer and gives off a warm feeling like a gentle hug.   Incorporate it into a room using tactile linens or a  mohair throw, or even a strategically placed cardi (last photo) paint a notice board and use it as a backdrop for pretty photos and love notes, is the perfect partner for greys, and can be ever so  seductive when mixed with dark velvet grey with a hint of purple,   I utterly love the last interior, created by  Kamomilla  it has me day dreaming of dreamy music playing in the background while I lay on the bed plumped with soft pillows,  unwrapping a certain crumbly chocolate bar......

Trend: The Industrial Look

Who ever would have thought that dilapidated premises and warehouses would become highly coveted residential properties? Retaining their rough, unfinished charm, exposed concrete, visible pipes and brick walls are being used to give these spaces a robust yet authentic look. Indeed, the industrial trend embraces imperfection: unpolished interiors that exude character with every turn, and Quick-Step is the latest manufacturer to help introduce this feel to the home.

Industrial interiors needn’t seem cold; with the right furnishing you can create the cosiest of home spaces, whether you are recreating in a former warehouse, cool loft or perhaps more traditional environment. Accent walls and copper accessories can easily warm up the chilly atmosphere of such buildings, exposed red brick an additional bonus found in locations of this type.

Designers and architects have come to recognise the beauty of concrete and are using it more and more frequently. Quick-Step has responded to this with the industrial look and feel of Impressive ‘Concrete Wood Light Grey’, wood-look planks treated with a concrete effect for that highly desirable rough edge. Quick-Step has a solution for a full-scale concrete look, too: ‘Polished Concrete’ from Arte creates a smoother, more neutral feel, giving your interior a bright and spacious atmosphere like few other laminates can achieve.
